Francisco Lominchar

LOMINCHAR Francisco. Born in Madrid (Spain) in 1960. From a humble family, at a very early age (1968) he engages in the world of painting where he stands out in his in his place of residence obtaining his first prizes and awards in competitions organized by public and private institutions.

These awards can only encourage his interest in painting, taking him to use color as an important part of his work.

A self-taught person, his career is based on the observation and study of the great masters of light, combining forms and colors in an expressionist tendency that many times becomes reality, searching in his interior that feeling he expresses in all his paintings.

Due to his continuous research in techniques and textures, after many years painting in color, he discovers "BLACK AND WHITE”.
From that moment (1982), a new phase in his painting begins, by creating works where the light is the key and the subject of his work ranges from the tenderness of a "Pass à Deux", to the tragedy that a war can make.

Light, volume and dimensionality are concepts that define his work, showing the viewer what he cannot see, "COLOR".

1984.- Exhibition in the "Hotel Riazor (A CORUÑA) promoted by Circulo Divulgativo.
1994.-Individual Exhibition in Guisando .- (AVILA).
2000.- Exhibition in the Gallery "ExpoArte" (MADRID).
2000.- Participation in the IV International Contemporary Painting "Euro" (BARCELONA).
2001.- Exhibition in "Zabriskie Gallery" New York (USA).

PRICES & AWARDS

1976.- First prize in the Young Painters Competition "Ciudad de Móstoles"(Madrid).

1977.- First prize in the II Certamen de Pintura APANSA in "Alcorcón"(MADRID).

1982.- Honorable Mention of Hon. City Council Figueruelas (Zaragoza) for his contribution to the artistic merits.

1983.- VIII Second Prize in Painting Competition "L´Oreal" (MADRID).

1984.- XII contest Finalist in Painting BMW (MADRID).

2000.- Special Mention of the Organization of the IV International Contemporary Painting "EuroArt", the originality of the work in BLACK AND WHITE (BARCELONA).

2003.- Finalist in I Certamen de Pintura Marca.
