Ana de Dios

Ana de Dios was born in Madrid in 1979. In 2003, she graduated in Philosophy (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) with one year stay in Lisbon (Socrates-Erasmus scholarship at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa: Faculdade de Ciênciais Sociais e Humanas). It was there where she considered the artistic option that she would begin with illustration studies of Enlightenment (Higher Technical Arts and Design in Illustration at the Art School No. 10, Madrid) and Muro (Ciclo de Grado Superior in Applied Arts School in the Muro Art La Palma, Madrid).

Since 2003 she is dedicated to painting and often performs exhibitions. Madrid (Sala Sins Entido, Space Menos1), Barcelona (Sala Art Foll) or Toledo (Círculo de Arte de Toledo) are some of the places where the works of Ana de Dios have been exhibited. This same year, 2009, she has participated in the collective exhibition of Cow Parade Madrid.

Hardworking and sensitive, she is characterized by a personal vision of the world where different paths are intertwined. Ana de Dios’s drawings raise questions beyond the medium in which they appear, leaving the final conclusion for the person who envisions her works.
