Biography
He avoids the unimportant, rejects the common, objects to the banal to tackle the world of sculpture.
He knows that the third dimension is an open gateway to the imagination.
The art of recycling of iron and its derivatives has attracted millions but Gari?s repertoire is unique in which he reduces their executions to simple and inventive mechanics.
Gari was able to escape the trap of ingenious assembling. Like the Lion tamer, Gari traps his beasts from their bodies, shapes and volumes of which he exploits the power of suggestion. The direction of the form which he articulates flexibly always in the surround of his sculptures which may be viewed from all angles.
Gari works with grids, grilles, wires and metallic pieces of all kinds, he assembles them in order that the light, this invisible partner shows through the sculpture. The shapes he forms are brilliant; these variations are the successes of the sculptor.
He is never afraid to work on a dangerous idea almost like putting his head into The Lions mouth.
He hopes that you are seduced by his pieces, driven by the form, and enable to let yourself be entwined in the world of Gari. He has captured the spirit of the animal or beast in a new wonderful space.
