Biography
Adèle Verge, Catalonian sculptress born in Séte in 1935.
She works above all the earth which she makes reproduce not only in bronze or in resin, but also in wood, wax, plaster cast, stone, reinforced concrete, marble, ...
Sculpting at dusk, at the retirement age, she followed the lessons of Pascale Aghilon for three years in the Fine Arts, Perpingnan.
All her sculptures have their natural origin in the human body shape, faithful to the School of alive model.
According to her, each part of this carnal being is inexhaustible. It is possible to limit oneself to the reality with a figure of academics and, from here on, all ways will be opened. Volumes are simplified and they change, lines purify themselves, bodies balance, and the shape tends to the essence, towards that strong point that makes vibrate the light around the statue when one has the possibility of doing it to triumph.
Its way is that of the simplest love: sensual and tender.
In her study, the connections abound: traditional couples, lover couples, both men and women, paternities and maternities.
